Corporate Responsibility

HL Interactive Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

As an organisation we constantly strive to take a balanced approach to assessing our corporate carbon footprint and continuously look at ways to minimise the negative effects our working practices may have on the environment. To reduce the amount of carbon dioxide HL Interactive releases we are looking at our distribution system and business travel, power consumption and use of materials, as well as looking at ways we can support our local community.

Our approach to CSR is summed up by the following statements:

  • Environment
  • Community
  • Continuous Improvement

Environment

In terms of fuel consumption and congestion through work related travel, HLI are encouraging the use of public transport by providing personnel with an Interest Free Loan to purchase season travel tickets, as well as encouraging car sharing and low emission vehicles. Conference calling is used where possible to reduce the amount of business related travel and email is encouraged to minimise manual distribution systems and speed up processes.

Community

HL Interactive have nominated Cancer Research to be the beneficiary of all our organised events and collections for the third year running. Charity nominations are held annually. We are currently looking for community projects in the Greater Manchester area that we can get involved in either through fund raising activities or volunteer work.

Continuous Improvement

We appreciate that in order to minimise our carbon footprint we must continuously improve in areas such as recycling and reduction of energy consumption whilst responsibly and practically maintaining best practice standards. We currently recycle toner cartridges, paper and old computer equipment and we are looking into a number of initiatives including recycling plastic cups, batteries, light bulbs, unwanted CD’s, books and clothing. The Firm has held a “donation Station” Events for Cancer Research where 30 bags of unwanted goods are recycled through various Cancer Research shops in the Greater Manchester area.
